Gabriela is a renowned Argentine journalist, communicator and politician. She has a master’s degree in communication from the Center for Communication and Information Studies at the University of Westminster in London. She is a graduate of the University of Social Communication of La Plata, Argentina.
From a very young age she dedicated herself to political and investigative journalism. She is the author of more than seven books, a professor of journalism at the University of La Plata and a speaker at national and international seminars.Her professional and early work in journalistic investigation in politics led her to closely investigate Argentine presidents and learn first-hand how the strings of this power move. Two of her most important books, «The Boss, Life and Work of Carlos Saúl Menem» (1993) and «El Pibe. Businesses, Intrigues and Secrets of Mauricio Macri» (2000), earned her international recognition.
She combined her professional development with a critical, sensitive and committed view of her time, which pushed her to lead various social, political and environmental actions that led her to occupy positions of public responsibility. First, in the Province of Buenos Aires and later, in the City of Buenos Aires.
She served as City Legislator for two consecutive periods (2007-2015) and as National Representative between 2017-2021, being a reference in communication within the chamber. Most recently, she served as Spokesperson of the National Presidency and as Secretary of Press and Communication at the Casa Rosada during the administration of President Alberto Fernández (2019-2023). During her tenure, for the first time, a weekly open press conference was institutionalized at Casa Rosada. A form of democratic communication unprecedented in our country.
